On Friday March 21, 2014 a joyous graduation ceremony was held in the Hall of Nations at the International Institute of Minnesota. We were celebrating the graduation of 25 Nursing Assistant students as well as 9 Pre-Nursing Assistant students, some of whom will be moving on to next quarter’s Nursing Assistant class. Staff from the International Institute as well as family and friends joined in the celebration.
Our mission is to serve New Americans (refugees, asylees, immigrants, and naturalized citizens) for whom English is not their native language. Our students come from around the world. These two graduating classes included 25 students from 15 countries such as Ethiopia, Somalia, Burma, Ecuador, and others.
