International Women’s Day: Nurse Inspires Inclusion in Healthcare
Meet Esi Izim, an Institute client who spoke no English when she first arrived in Minnesota. Now, she’s finishing her Doctorate of Nursing – the highest degree possible in nursing. Her career so far, first as a certified nursing assistant, then as a registered nurse, shines a light on inclusiveness and equity.
“My goal is to show more representation of people in minority groups in the healthcare system and give an example of the reality minorities face in the healthcare system.”
