Have you been searching for a way to welcome new refugees to Minnesota? Here’s your chance!
Join us on Saturday, September 7th at the International Institute of Minnesota to make warm fleece blankets for families experiencing Minnesota winter for the first time. Along with our friends from Alight, you’ll help in creating something that will be used daily during the winter months and will be a physical reminder of love and care from a new neighbor. Plus, who doesn’t love to feel cozy and warm under a blanket during the winter!?
During the event, you’ll also learn about how you can volunteer your time with refugees in the Twin Cities on a more regular basis. No experience necessary – this is an activity for the whole family!
