“I have hired several graduates of the Institute’s Nursing Assistant Training program. In part because the excellent preparation they receive academically and culturally. But also because I know that they can receive additional support as they seek to upgrade their positions in health care.
One graduate of the Institute’s NAR program I hired this past year was a nursing assistant or junior nurse equivalent at a refugee health clinic in Thailand before coming to the U.S. She came with the basics of the health care training and a deeply rooted respect for the elderly. What she needed was lots of language support and cultural information. She got that at the Institute.
I would not have such an excellent caregiver employee without the training she received in the Medical Careers Pathway Program.”
