College Readiness in Hospitality prepares New Americans for the Hospitality Pathways Program at Normandale Community College through a 16-week College Preparation & Support Class. Students attend class at the Institute before and during the Normandale course. The Hospitality Pathways Program is a two-semester academic and internship program designed to assist students to study and develop leadership skills for success in the hospitality industry.
At the Institute
Students will:
- Learn college writing, reading, analysis and computer use
- Receive academic support through student-centered study groups
- Gain supplemental instruction to improve time management skills and employability after program completion
The Institute class:
- Meets Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Institute
Fees:
- $25 deposit for Institute class (refundable with perfect attendance)
To enroll at the Institute:

In the Hospitality Pathways Class at Normandale Community College
- Earn 8 free college credits toward the Hotel Operations Management Certificate at Normandale Community College
- Become AHLA Guest Service Gold certified
- Receive free tuition, books, and fees from Normandale Community College
The Normandale College course:
- Meets every Tuesday from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Normandale Community College
