The Front Desk is the first stop for all clients who come to the Institute. Front Desk Assistants provide a welcoming environment for our clients, and support our Immigration Services team with a variety of tasks.
Candidate Profile:
- Interested in working with immigrant and refugee populations
- Self-motivated, organized, and patient
- Comfortable working with low-level English speakers
- Typing and computer skills are necessary
Primary Duties Include:
- Greet and welcome clients to the Institute
- Help clients make appointments for Institute services
- Answer basic immigration questions
- Assist receptionist with clerical duties
- Take passport and immigration photos
- Distribute immigration applications
- Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs to enter data
- Assist with bulk mail projects
- Training provided by Institute staff
Time Commitment:
- Minimum 3 hours/week for 4 months
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, 9 a.m. to noon
