When you donate to the International Institute of Minnesota, your gift will support the Institute’s greatest need. As donations, grants and government support change over time, your contributions invest in our evolving needs, expand program offerings and ensure services remain free of charge or low cost to clients.
For example, when the federal government reduced support for refugee resettlement, community contributions allowed the Institute to partially maintain its budget for the program. Thanks to this investment, the Institute resettled more refugees and reunited more families in 2019. That same year, our wait list for citizenship assistance grew to nearly 400 people. Thanks to donations, we were able to expand appointments that grew our capacity by 19%.
When you give, your donations invest in high-quality programs that contribute to a more inclusive and welcoming community that benefits New Americans and Minnesota.
