Andrea Kittleson

Andrea Kittleson leads a wonderful team that provides trauma-informed services to survivors of trafficking and unaccompanied refugee youth. Andrea and her team recognize the dignity and worth of each individual survivor and young person, and work in partnership with them to achieve their goals and dreams.
Andrea is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with a background in family case management, youth development work and community-based research. Her career began as a volunteer with youth programs in Morelos, Mexico. She has also worked for Lutheran Social Service of MN, the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board and Minneapolis Community Education. Andrea hopes that her work at the Institute will inspire hope, justice, and compassion towards all New Americans.
