Who Can Take Classes?
Classes and job training programs with IIMN are free for New Americans. Our goal is to provide financial stability, career advancement, leadership and mentorship to every New American looking for a strong start to life in Minnesota.
Requirements include:
- Adults (17 years and older)
- Individuals living in Minnesota
- Those not currently enrolled in high school
- Covid-19 vaccinated individuals (if attending in-person classes)
Please note all classes are located at the International Institute of Minnesota in St. Paul unless otherwise noted.

Get Started
You must come to an in-person intake session to register for the following classes:
- English Classes and Driver’s Education
- Nursing Assistant Training
- Housekeeping Training
- Cashiering Skills Training
- Dietary Aide Training
When: Mondays | Arrive between 12-1 p.m. (Get directions.)
No appointment is needed.
Please plan to be here for at least two hours, depending on how many students are waiting.
