Alejandra immigrated to the United States with her parents from Mexico as an infant, growing up in Saint Paul and witnessing firsthand the challenges her family faced as newcomers. Those experiences shaped her deep commitment to giving back to the community that helped open doors for her family. This is why Alejandra is so excited to be part of the IIMN team, as her core values and beliefs align with IIMN’s mission.

Alejandra has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and has spent the past six years working in local news, creating compelling content and telling thousands of stories as a reporter, anchor, and content specialist. As a bilingual storyteller, she is excited to bring her passion for immigration and community-centered storytelling to IIMN.
