Ainsley Casper

Legal Assistant

After more than a year of volunteering and interning with the Immigration Services Team, Ainsley Casper was eager to continue her work at the Institute as a legal assistant and support new Americans as a full-time team member.

Her passion for human rights, immigration, and the legal system shaped her studies at the University of Minnesota, where she earned a degree in Sociology of Law, Crime, and Justice. She expanded her experience through internships with the Advocates for Human Rights—serving as an immigration court observer—and with the Scalabrini Centre of Cape Town, South Africa, where she assisted refugees and asylum seekers in securing employment.

At the International Institute, Ainsley is excited to continue supporting people in real time as they navigate complex systems and work toward permanent residency and citizenship in the United States
