Amy McMeeking

Immigration Services Attorney

Amy joined the Institute as an immigration services attorney in March 2026. They first became passionate about immigration law while working as a paralegal. This led them to attend law school and to their first position as an immigration attorney, where they represented unaccompanied children and survivors of crimes and domestic violence in the Los Angeles area. They are excited to be back in their home state of Minnesota and to continue assisting immigrant communities here.

Amy holds a JD from UCLA School of Law with concentrations in critical race studies, international law, and public interest law, and a BA in International Studies from Macalester College.
