Bilsuma Adema

Refugee Services Case Manager

Bilsuma Adema is a Refugee Services Case Manager at the International Institute of Minnesota. She joined the Institute because of her passion for supporting immigrant and refugee communities and helping individuals and families access the resources they need to build stable lives. Having previously worked at the Institute as a PC ICM Case Manager and Women’s Health Educator, she is excited to return and continue supporting the communities she cares about.

Bilsuma has a background in public health, community health education, case management, and epidemiologic research. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Concordia University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She is passionate about culturally responsive support, health equity, and helping individuals and families thrive in their communities.
