Corleen Smith

Corleen Smith is proud of her almost 25 years of employment with the Institute. She has a background in legal interpretation and education, enjoys using her Spanish-speaking skills and teaching skills every day on the job.
Corleen grew up in Minneapolis but now calls St. Paul home after having lived and worked in Guatemala and Mexico. Her Swedish great-grandfather became a naturalized citizen in 1920 at the age of 32 and her work in Immigration Services acknowledges his immigrant spirit of determination. She believes in working together with clients to remove the barriers that too many people still face to reach their dream of U.S. citizenship.
