Espoir Katengura
Employment Counselor
Espoir Katengura is an Employment Counselor at the International Institute of Minnesota. Espoir is Congolese in nationality and left his home country to seek asylum in Zambia in 2011. He lived in Zambia for 10 years. During this time, Espoir served as an interpreter and translator for refugees unable to speak English. He worked for governmental and non-governmental organizations inside and outside refugees’ camps in Zambia including UNHCR, IOM, USCIS, Save the Children and RSC Africa. Espoir speaks several languages fluently including English, French, Swahili and some African local languages.
