Volunteer and Community Partnerships Manager

Kaela has a background in youth work and started her nonprofit career as a case manager. She most recently managed an AmeriCorps VISTA program, building partnerships with youth serving organizations and supporting folks in creating a meaningful year of service. She’s excited to use her skills and passion for relationship and community building to connect our programs to the amazing talents of our volunteers and ensure that they feel supported during their time with us.

Kaela was born in South Korea and raised in rural Minnesota. She holds an M.Ed. in Youth Development Leadership, was a NorthStar Youth Worker Fellow, and is TEFL certified. Kaela is also a dedicated volunteer herself – some of her earliest memories include volunteering at the nursing home and with her local 4H club. She has been matched with her Little Sister through BBBS since January 2020.
