Employment Counselor

Kara Green is an Employment Counselor for the Nursing Assistant program.  Kara received her Bachelor’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS and her teaching degree from Augsburg University in Minneapolis.  She recently joined the Institute after spending 9 years in education.  Most recently, she worked as a teacher imparting wisdom into the curiously brilliant minds of 3^rd graders in Minneapolis Public Schools.

Kara has a true passion for helping others.  She is excited to assist New Americans as they work towards setting and achieving their employment goals.  In her spare time, she enjoys walking around the Twin Cities’ lakes, seeking out the best street tacos and hanging out with family and friends.
