Lynn Thompson
Hospitality and Business Careers Program Manager
Lynn Thompson began working at the Institute in 2015 as an AmeriCorps Opportunity Corps member in the Nursing Assistant Training program. Wanting to continue serving adult learners, she pursued her TEFL certificate and began teaching in the English department in 2017.
In 2018 Lynn became the Program Manager and Instructor for the Hospitality Career Pathway. In 2024 Lynn helped to launch the Business Pathway. The two programs together offer six different classes that help new Americans to learn English and job skills that will help them to be successful in the US workforce; ranging from entry level positions, to corporate careers to starting their own businesses. She is passionate about helping New Americans to overcome barriers to employment through education, empowerment and advocacy.
