Entrepreneurship Student Support
Position Description
The Entrepreneurship Classroom Assistant will assist the Business Navigator with supporting students in preparing their final presentations. Activities that students may need help with:
- Creating Google slides for their final presentation: the business pitch
- Entering data into financial statements
- Refining language for homework: parts of their business plan
- Researching target markets
- Researching business competitors
Estimated hours/week:
1-3
Dates and times are as follows:
- June 15 – August 13
- Mondays 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Possible other student work times to be determined
Worksite:
On-site at The International Institute of Minnesota, 1694 Como Avenue, Saint Paul MN 55108
More Information
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced with business plans and pitches, understanding the components needed to start a new business is helpful
- Familiar and comfortable with Google Suite including Sheets, Slides & Docs
- Wanting to support New American Entrepreneurs
- Accommodating of mistakes and misunderstandings
- Willing to give constructive feedback to help students improve
- Able to be flexible, patient and go with the flow
1-3 hours per week
Dates and times are as follows:
- June 15 – August 13

Cohort dates and times are as follows:
- 2025
- Oct. 11 – Nov. 22; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
- 2026
- Feb 21 – April 4; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
- June 15 – August 15; Mon & Wed from 5-8pm
- Oct 10 – Nov 21; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
Volunteer Orientation
Entrepreneurship classes are a fun and interactive class setting. Students are motivated to learn and passionate about their business ideas. The volunteer will be able to make an immediate impact on students as they help them learn essential skills in starting a business.
