Pitch Panelist

Position Description

Pitch Panelists will listen to business pitches, ask follow up questions, and offer feedback on both the presentation and business idea/plan.  Each panel will have 3-4 panelists and each panel will hear 4-5 pitches. 

Panelists receive a list of example questions to ask, a rubric for rating each business pitch, and a business one-pager from the student.  After all the pitches – the panelists convene with the entire class and the instructor to give overall feedback, ask questions and discuss experiences.

Time Commitment:
3 times throughout the year, likely in the evening or on a Saturday. Each panel event is an hour and a half.

  • Owning, growing, and/or starting small business
  • Experience in marketing, finance, or nonprofit leadership
  • Willingness to give constructive feedback on a student’s business plan/concept as well as on their presentation skills.

  • We host Pitch Panels 3 times per year. They will likely be in the evening or on a Saturday.
  • Each panel event is an hour and a half.

30 minute virtual orientation session before event for first time volunteers.
