Coraima added to her list of accomplishments since moving from Ecuador when she officially became a U.S. citizen last October, joining her husband and infant daughter. As she looks ahead to life after school, Coraima plans to spend more time with her daughter.

There have been new updates on Operation PARRIS that we want to share with the community and what refugees can do to protect themselves.

The International Institute of Minnesota is relieved and cautiously optimistic about the announcement of the conclusion of Operation Metro Surge and the removal of thousands of federal immigration agents from the Twin Cities. As we move forward, our immediate priority is those who are still detained.

MPR News | At least 100 refugees, who are in the country with legal status, have been arrested, detained and sent to Texas, according to Jane Graupman, executive director of the International Institute of Minnesota.
