Entrepreneurship Classroom Assistant

Position Description
The Entrepreneurship Classroom Assistant will assist classroom instructor and business navigator with classroom activities, which can include small group activities and one-on-one work. Entrepreneurship classes are a fun and interactive class setting. Students are motivated to learn and passionate about their business ideas. The classroom assistant will be able to make an immediate impact on students as they help them learn essentials skills in starting a business.

Volunteer will assist classroom instructor and business navigator with classroom activities, which can include small group activities and one-on-one work. Activities that students need help with:
- Creating Google slides for business pitch
- Entering data into financial statements and cash flow projections
- Researching target markets and demand for products or service
- Researching competitors
- Other relevant research as needed
- Assisting in Pitch Day and graduation
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced with writing business plans and understands the components needed to start a new business
- Familiar and comfortable with Google Suite including Sheets, Slides & Docs
- Wanting to support New American Entrepreneurs
- Accommodating of mistakes and misunderstandings
- Willing to give constructive feedback to help students improve
- Able to be flexible, patient and go with the flow
There are 3 cohorts per year. Volunteers should commit to at least one cohort for 2 – 4 hours per week while the cohort is in session
Cohort dates and times are as follows:
- 2025
- Oct. 11 – Nov. 22; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
- 2026
- Feb 21 – April 4; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
- June 15 – August 15; Mon & Wed from 5-8pm
- Oct 10 – Nov 21; Saturdays from 10am – 3pm
