Career Advancement Specialist

Kate Carter grew up in St. Paul and started her career in the St. Paul Public Schools. Later she moved to Maryland and became a work-based learning coordinator. Her role was to offer career guidance and future planning to high school students, as well as support them in employment, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and work habits so they could move successfully into the world of work.

She now teaches the Institute’s Professional Leadership class. It is a privilege to work with business, medical, engineering and educational professionals, learning from them and helping them develop leadership careers, earn promotions or change professions.
