English Instructor and Intake Specialist

Liz Reid enjoys welcoming new arrivals at intake and helping them grow in her intermediate English classes. Seeing students grow in confidence and community together is always a rich reward for her. She is passionate about helping students harness the power of words and gain a voice in their new home.

Liz gained an increased empathy and passion for helping new arrivals after three years of living and teaching English in Thailand. Every gesture of kindness and welcome had a profound impact on her, and she feels privileged to extend that to others at the Institute. Before becoming an English teacher, Liz worked as a writer and writing coach.
