Esme: Becoming a nurse feels like “freedom”
May 13, 2025 | Each of our clients comes to the Institute with a remarkable story of perseverance. One such client, Esme, invited us into her life to share about her journey. She first came to United States as a high school student who spoke no English and advanced quickly. Now, she works as a registered nurse (RN) at a Minnesota hospital.
With support from the International Institute of Minnesota’s Medical Career Advancement program, Esme went back to school to complete her Bachelor of Nursing degree, while also working and mothering her three children. Watch her inspiring story to learn about the difference the Institute made in Esme’s life and how she’s making a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you to Blue Moon Productions for capturing Esme’s remarkable story!
