Small Business Resource Fair for Immigrants

Thank you to everyone who made our Small Business Resource Fair for Immigrants such a success! The event brought together 75 attendees, 15 resource tables, 6 breakout sessions, and 3 panelists.

Former Entrepreneurship Class graduates returned to the Institute to share their businesses, as Manoj (Himalko Tea) and Yana (The Shawarma Co.) provided food and drink, while Mamoun (Ulumu) was the emcee.

Attendees praised the wealth of resources, opportunities for networking, and the chance to hear panelists share real obstacles and solutions they’ve encountered on their entrepreneurial journeys. Other feedback included how helpful it was to meet so many business owners and receive resources for attendees to start their own business.
