Arlington, VA—The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) issues the following statement in solidarity with our colleagues at HIAS.

“We are outraged at the senseless act of violence perpetrated today in Pittsburgh and our hearts are with the Tree of Life congregation and every Jewish congregation across the country.  We stand with the Jewish community, with HIAS and against every act of hate and persecution,” said Eskinder Negash, President/CEO of USCRI.

“We will continue to work shoulder to shoulder with HIAS today, tomorrow and into the future in our shared commitment to refugee protection and welcome,” added Negash.
