Event Emcee
Raya Quttaineh
Raya Quttaineh is a journalist at KARE 11. She emigrated from Jordan to the United States as a child. Raya grew up in Saint Paul and has a deep admiration for people and organizations that support immigrants and refugees. Through her work, she tries to share impactful stories that uplift historically marginalized communities and voices. Raya is excited to emcee the Institute’s second annual fundraising event!

Keynote Speaker
Eskinder Negash
Eskinder Negash is the President and CEO of the U.S. Committee for Refugee and Immigrants (USCRI). His career working on behalf of refugees and immigrants spans more than 40 years. He is a champion of the safety, stability and dignity of refugees and immigrants. He previously served in multiple senior nonprofit and government roles as the Director of the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement, USCRI’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of the International Institute of Los Angeles.
