Employers were excited to participate, and the Franklin Street Bakery even brought samples of their bread for applicants. A number of employers scheduled interviews with attendees, and many took advantage of interview space provided at the Institute during the job fair. Employers commented that “This was a great experience. We’d love to come back and do this again” and “This is one of the better job fairs I’ve been to. I’ve been talking to candidates pretty much the entire time.”
In addition to having quick access to numerous hiring employers, job seekers also had assistance updating resumes and completing job applications from Institute employment staff and volunteers.
In addition to hosting job fairs and building relationships with local employers, we offer employment assistance to all our workforce development students, to newly arrived refugees resettled by the Institute, and to survivors of trafficking, special immigrant visa holders, and Cuban and Haitian immigrants.
Thank you to all of the employers and job seekers who made this event a success!
