Job Leads for Refugees?

Seeking job leads for newly arrived refugees
March 17, 2025 | Are you hiring for a job that’s right for a newly arrived refugee?
As the Institute continues to navigate challenges to our programming due to extensive federal funding cuts, we’re looking for community connections to help employ refugees who arrived in December and January. Our Refugee Services team remains committed to supporting families in reaching self-sufficiency as quickly as possible, which includes learning about American employment culture and norms, and ultimately being hired for their first jobs in Minnesota.
If you or someone you know has immediate job openings, please consider filling out the below form so our team can connect regarding possible opportunities.
A job is generally a good fit for our newest arrivals if it meets the following criteria:
- Accessible by public transportation (max of one hour each direction within or from the metro area)
- Work can be completed by low-level English speakers
- Hiring team and/or staff have experience working with Limited English Proficiency speakers
Institute staff are happy to discuss how we support families with job search activities, attending interviews, and getting started with work – with either you, and/or others in your network!
