Delaney Bluhm

Case Manager

Delaney graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN with degrees in Political Science and Peace, Justice, & Conflict Studies (and a minor in African & African Diaspora Studies). During her college career, she studied U.S. and international human rights policies during the PPIA Junior Summer Institute and post-genocide restoration and peacebuilding while abroad in Rwanda. They conducted an independent study project focusing on the healing process of genocide trauma survivors while abroad and wrote their thesis on domestic refugee politics in the United States, Australia, and Türkiye. She has a strong sense of justice and immense care for others that has set her on the right path to help others.

She is excited to be working as a Reception and Placement Case Manager with the Institute so she can help newly arrived refugees feel welcome from the moment they arrive until they are confident in their self-sufficiency.
