College Readiness Academy Instructor

Jamie L. Wright teaches integrated academic skills in her intensive courses and is the curriculum specialist in the program. Given her life experiences, Jamie empathizes with her students feeling “out of place” or that they need to prove or explain themselves. She truly enjoys connecting with each of her students individually and helping them to work towards their dreams and goals for their college education in the United States.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Jamie L. Wright is the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of immigrants from China, Canada, and Italy. She spent many years living in various places outside of the state, including two years in Seoul, South Korea. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Bilingualism: Language and Culture from St. Olaf College, and an M.S. in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University.
